തൃശൂർ ആനന്ദപുരത്തിൽ മദ്യപാനത്തിനിടെ ഉണ്ടായ തർക്കം അനന്തരഫലമായി ജ്യേഷ്ഠന്‍ അനുജനെ കുത്തികൊന്ന് കൊല്ലുന്നതുവരെ നീണ്ടുവന്നു. ആനന്ദപുരം സ്വദേശിയായ 26കാരനായ യദു കൃഷ്ണനാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. ഇയാളുടെ സഹോദരൻ വിഷ്ണുവാണ് കൊലയ്ക്കു പിന്നിൽ. വിഷ്ണു സംഭവത്തിന് ശേഷം ഒളിവിൽ പോയതായും പുതുക്കാട് പൊലീസ് അന്വേഷനം ആരംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.
സംഭവം ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി എട്ടരയോടെയാണ് നടന്നത്. ഇരുവരും ആനന്ദപുരം കള്ള് ഷാപ്പിൽ മദ്യപിച്ച ശേഷം പരസ്പരം തർക്കത്തിലേർപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഷാപ്പിന് മുന്നിൽ വിഷ്ണു കള്ളുകുപ്പി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് യദുവിനെ തലക്കും ശരീരത്തും മർദിച്ചു. ഗുരുതരമായി പരുക്കേറ്റ യദുവിനെ തൃശൂർ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും രാത്രി പതിനൊന്നു മണിയോടെ മരണം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. വിഷ്ണു ലഹരിവസ്തുക്കളിൽ അടിമയാണെന്നും പൊലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
